The peppermint leaf flavours wonderfully with the nettle and makes for an excellent pick me up. If you want to go hardcore, you can make a nettle infusion! But even the tea version is a great natural energy booster.
Organic Ingredients: Nettle leaf, Peppermint leaf.
Brewing: Two teaspoons of infusion added to water just off the boil. Steep for 10 minutes. Due to its energising effects, it is not recommended to drink after 4 pm.
Nettle Infusion: Near boil approximately one litre of water. Measure out 3-4 heaped dessertspoons of the nettle and peppermint blend. Put the dried herb into a 1-litre mason jar or coffee press and fill to the top with near-boiling water. Lid tightly and pop into the fridge overnight to brew or at least 4 hours during the day.
Strain and/or squeeze the liquid out of the herb using an unbleached muslin cloth. Keep refrigerated. It will last a couple of days in the fridge.
